18 Teams were in attendance: Wheelers, Skullcrushers, Demons, Ninjas, Jokers, Gladiators, Dragons, Bruisers, Red Dogs, Fumbduckers, Firebirds, Eclectic, Cougars, Anacondas, Legion of Doom, 33s, Barracudas & Dog Pound.
Not in attendance: Maniacs, PPE, Chewbaca, Diggers, Losers & Bullet
Awards & Money
Executive Awards:
Executive of the Year – Jeff Behrens, Ninjas
GM of the Year – Randy Behrens, Dog Pound
Coach of the Year – Rob Barber, Eclectic
Comeback Team of the Year – Rob Barber, Eclectic
Rookie of the Year – AJ Olson & Ryan Behrens, Demons
For those who don’t know it, the Ninjas won the league in exciting fashion over Eclectic in which we gave Jeff Behrens’ of the Ninjas plenty of shit for having Eclectic owner Rob Barber draft his team for him. I think we beat it down enough that we can let it lie, well until next season starts. The Cougars fought hard to defend their title only to come up short with a strong 3rd place finish over the Dragons.
Meeting Decisions
Discussion about the NFL going into a 20 week season next year:
IR Expands from 2 spots to 3
We will play 16 weeks for the season and 4 for the playoffs
6 teams from each conference will be in the playoffs

Rosters will remain open as usual and lock after the season
Discussion about the NFL goes into a lockout for a full or partial season:
If no season, pay, draft & mondy carry over but you will protect off of NEW roster from 2011 draft and we will redraft
If partial season
Pay in full, payout in full – no prorating of the money
Rules will be played out as if it were a full season
Schedule will be adjusted to assure you play within your division twice
There will be a board meeting prior to season start with all FBFL teams invited to attend
I will contact the website to try to get prorated refund to put more money in the kitty though it’s not a necessity
Trading of Protected Players Slot: Created a huge argument because the supplemental pick being equal to the protected player slot. Commish Behrens stepped in after a very long and painful discussion and decided to table with the board and rewrite the opportunity for a future voting.
Bring back Defensive Players: NO
Scoring Changes: NONE
Change Divisions: NO
Penalize teams that don’t show up to draft: With the understanding that “shit happens” that can cause people to miss the draft, it was decided that a penalty had to be incurred at some point so teams don’t continuously make the post-season with someone else’s draft expertise.
1st Year – No penalty; probation year
2nd Year – Team will get their draft completed with a top 300 list off the website
3rd Year – Entry fee will double
4th Year – You are no longer welcome in the league
These would be consecutive years so if you miss a year and attend the next, you start with a clean slate.
2013 we will be starting from scratch making next year’s meeting a must attend if you want to choose what division you will be in. We will pull team names out of a hat for both draft order and division. If your team gets pulled, you go to the commish’s table and put our name in the division of your choice. If you do not attend, your team is automatically filled in the next division available alternating conferences. We will then re-vote on protected players and length of time next year at the meeting.
Host for 2012 draft: Rob Barber
Board Members: Rick Lyon and Rob Barber with the stipulation that the board members will serve a 2 year term and will have to take 2 years off to keep getting new blood on the board as much as possible. After 2 years they are available to serve on the board again.
Prepay: NFL picks will be paid for IN ADVANCE next season. If you miss a couple weeks or bail at the end of the season you will get refunded the weeks you choose not to play but you have to pay the $34-$40 up front in order to play.
It was voted in, without my attendance that I will not have to pay any entry fee. I was also inducted into the FBFL Hall of Fame and will be receiving a plaque at next season’s draft from Rob Barber along with getting a web page on the site. I am very grateful to be recognized and appreciate all that you guys said. As drunk as Joker was, he was one of my bigger advocates for playing for free and it is appreciated.
Meeting adjourned at about 10pm, we went out and continued to get drunk. Thanks for another great season, hopefully we will have football back in our hands in 2011!!
